  • Every Business Has Stories Worth Sharing – From tech choices to lessons learned the hard way, your behind-the-scenes experiences can resonate with others and build your brand’s credibility. Don’t wait—start telling your story now.

Shawn Walchef wants every business owner to understand one thing: B2B content isn’t just nice to have—it’s essential.

From his base at Cali BBQ in San Diego, Walchef has turned his restaurant into a content machine, showing that the future of marketing lies not in polished ads but in real stories that build trust. “It’s not about selling,” he said. “It’s about sharing what you know and why it matters.”

Just Hit Record

Walchef’s journey into the B2B creator economy didn’t start with a fancy camera or a big budget. It started with an unboxing video of a point-of-sale system. He wanted to show fellow restaurateurs why he switched from a legacy system to Toast, and what that decision meant for his business. That video didn’t just educate—it built relationships. It opened doors to deeper collaborations with technology partners like Toast and even earned him a seat on their Customer Advisory Board.

“I didn’t need a big production,” Walchef said. “I just needed to start.”

That mindset—just start—became the cornerstone of his B2B content strategy. It wasn’t about making the perfect video; it was about making content that mattered to other businesses.

Be The Show, Not The Commercial

For years, Walchef focused on B2C content: photos of ribs, brisket, and mac and cheese. But he realized the real opportunity was in B2B—sharing the behind-the-scenes of running a restaurant, the lessons from failed ghost kitchens, and the reasons he invested in technology partners.

“Marketing isn’t about pushing products,” he said. “It’s about building trust by showing what you believe in.”

His content wasn’t just about getting likes; it was about connecting with partners who cared about his business and the decisions behind it.

Building Trust

Walchef’s B2B videos didn’t rack up millions of views—but they built something more valuable: trust. By sharing the wins, the losses, and the hard lessons learned, he turned content into a bridge that connected him to technology partners, investors, and fellow operators.

“It’s about showing what you know, even when it’s messy,” Walchef said. “That’s what people want.”

The payoff wasn’t just in brand awareness. It was in new opportunities and partnerships—proof that B2B content isn’t a luxury. It’s a necessity.

Walchef’s message is clear: every business owner has stories that matter. Whether it’s about technology, operations, or the people behind the scenes, sharing those stories builds trust—and trust builds business.

“You already have stories,” Walchef said. “Start sharing them now.”
