Memorable moments took center stage on Rising Tides Live as Shawn Walchef and the community explored how experiences, not transactions, are what people actually remember. From creator-led events and behind-the-scenes access to simple gestures that turn everyday interactions into lasting stories, operators, founders, creators, and technologists shared real examples of how moments are intentionally designed and accidentally discovered. A clear theme emerged: great experiences come from preparation, empowerment, and giving people the freedom to experience something in their own way. When teams focus on hospitality, storytelling, and creating space for authentic connection, moments stop being marketing and start becoming memories that people carry and share.
Listen to the replay of the latest room where the participants discussed community service and follow Cali BBQ Media to keep up with the latest and join the rooms to tell your story and have your voice heard.
Every Wednesday and Friday at 10am PT, Shawn Walchef hosts the Rising Tides Live room streaming with StreamYard on YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, and more. Leading voices in hospitality, and otherwise, from near and far join to discuss all things business and much more.
The Big Quote

Homework Assignment
Design one small, intentional moment this week.
Pick one place in your business where you can give a guest, customer, or partner a behind-the-scenes look, a personal touch, or an unexpected experience. It could be letting someone see the kitchen, telling the story behind a dish, introducing them to a team member, or capturing and sharing a moment on video.
Do not overthink it. Do not overproduce it. Just create one moment on purpose, document it, and share the story.
Then ask yourself: if you did this every week, what would your reputation become?
