David Meltzer on the Rise of Media as a Service and Its Impact on Business

In This Episode

Interview Takeaways

  • More Than Enough – David Meltzer’s More Than Enough philosophy comes to life in his No Po’ Boy sandwich—double the meat, cheese, sauce, and veggies. More than just a meal, it’s a metaphor for abundance and limitless opportunity. Just as he champions MasS Media as a Service to give everyone visibility, he urges people to be the show, not the commercial—to create, lead, and provide value rather than stay in the background.
  • The Power of Radio Row – The parties bring excitement with bright lights and energy, but the real connections and business deals happen on Radio Row. For David Meltzer, it’s the true highlight of Super Bowl week, where meaningful relationships are built, opportunities arise, and impactful conversations take place.
  • Maximizing Value Through Post-Production Content – David Meltzer emphasizes that post-production content holds greater value than in-person events. While networking and business development are important, the real impact comes from capturing these moments and amplifying them through content. He believes that creating engaging material, rather than relying solely on live experiences, ensures lasting value that benefits everyone involved.

In this latest Coaching Call with entrepreneur, podcast host, and mentor David Meltzer, host Shawn Walchef discusses “Media as a Service” (MaaS) and how it is transforming business, branding, and community engagement. Drawing from his extensive experience in media, entrepreneurship, and mentorship. David Meltzer explains how the evolution of media parallels the growth of Software as a Service (SaaS). With a global audience at our fingertips, the key to success in the digital age is not just content creation but content capture and distribution.

“The whole world is your stage,” David says, emphasizing the limitless potential of media as a tool for influence and business growth. By integrating media with established communities, brands can amplify their reach and create ongoing engagement that fuels long-term success.

Owning the Stage: The Super Bowl Business Model

One of the most compelling examples David provides is how he approaches large-scale events like the Super Bowl. Instead of simply attending or sponsoring, he creates his own moment—owning a time, space, and audience.

“I’m going to own Friday at one o’clock at the Super Bowl,” he declares, describing how he uses these opportunities to build relationships, promote new ventures like the Meltzer More Than Enough Sandwich, and most importantly, generate content that lives on long after the event itself.

The Power of Post-Production Content

While live experiences and business development opportunities are valuable, David insists that their true power lies in what happens afterward. “All of those experiences and business deals are diminished compared to the biggest value, the key to the MasS—which is post-production content,” he explains.

This philosophy stems from a fundamental shift in how people consume media. Meltzer points to the rise of YouTube’s Super Bowl commercial recaps as proof that lasting value comes not from the event itself, but from how it is documented, repackaged, and shared over time.

Creating a Perpetual Content Ecosystem

By leveraging post-production content, businesses and individuals can extend their influence beyond a single event. David underscores that the key is not just producing content but making it perpetual—allowing it to live on through continuous engagement and amplification by the community.

This strategy applies not only to major events but also to personal branding, business development, and social media growth. “You want to be the show, not the commercial,” David advises, highlighting the importance of positioning yourself at the center of content rather than simply advertising within it. David Meltzer’s approach to Media as a Service is about more than just content creation—it’s about strategically positioning yourself and your brand to maximize long-term impact. By capturing, modifying, amplifying, and perpetuating content, individuals and businesses can create a sustainable, scalable presence in the digital world.

As always, Meltzer encourages entrepreneurs to leverage digital tools, build meaningful relationships, and invest in content strategies that will outlive them. “Everything I do has a quantitative value,” he says. “And it’s guaranteed because I create the greatest experiences, bring the biggest stages and people together, and make it perpetual.”
